Located in the sanctuary of Asclepius, the Theater of Epidaurus is celebrated as the best-preserved ancient Greek theater. Built in the 4th century BCE, it is renowned for its incredible acoustics—a whispered word on stage can be heard clearly in the highest seats.
This theater could accommodate up to 14,000 spectators and remains a venue for performances during the Epidaurus Festival.
