Located in the northwest of Chios, Volissos is a charming medieval village believed to be the birthplace of Homer.

The Byzantine castle at the top of the hill offers spectacular views of the Aegean, while the village itself is home to stone houses, narrow streets, and hidden chapels. Volissos is also a gateway to some of Chios’ most beautiful beaches, such as Lithi and Lefkathia.
