2Kastro, Sifnos

Kastro, meaning “castle,” is one of the most historic villages on the island of Sifnos. As its name suggests, the village is built like a fortress, with narrow alleys, traditional whitewashed houses, and remnants of ancient Venetian walls.

The Church of the Seven Martyrs, perched on a rock above the Aegean, is one of the most photographed spots on the island.
