8United States and Canada – Peace Arch Park

While much of the U.S.-Canada border stretches across vast wilderness, one of its most symbolic points is Peace Arch Park, located between Washington State and British Columbia.

Here, travelers can literally picnic or stroll across the international boundary without passing through border control, as long as they stay within the park. The Peace Arch monument, built in 1921, celebrates friendship between the two nations and remains one of the most unusual yet meaningful borders in the world.
