5Paro International Airport – Bhutan

Tucked deep within the Himalayas, Paro is one of the most unique and visually stunning airports on Earth.

Surrounded by peaks that soar over 5,000 meters (16,400 feet), only a handful of specially trained pilots are certified to land here. Passengers are rewarded with a view of emerald valleys, traditional Bhutanese architecture, and the mystical mountains of the “Land of the Thunder Dragon.” The experience feels almost spiritual.
