10North Yungas Road, Bolivia
Often called the “Death Road,” Bolivia’s North Yungas Road is legendary for its narrow width, steep drops, and lack of guardrails.
Carved into the Andes Mountains, this road descends through fog, rain, and landslide-prone terrain. One mistake can mean a fall of hundreds of meters into the jungle below. While a safer alternative now exists, the road remains infamous—and popular with thrill-seeking cyclists.
