Myanmar has been experiencing widespread violence since the military seized power during the Myanmar Coup (2021). The coup triggered nationwide protests and resistance movements, which later evolved into a full-scale civil war.Â
The ruling military junta is now fighting multiple resistance forces across the country. Ethnic armed organizations that have battled the government for decades have joined the conflict, turning several regions into active war zones. Villages and towns have been damaged by airstrikes and artillery, forcing many civilians to flee their homes.
