The world-famous Venus de Milo statue, now housed in the Louvre Museum in Paris, was discovered on Milos in 1820.

Although the statue itself is no longer on the island, you can visit the exact spot where it was unearthed near the village of Tripiti. A small plaque marks the location, and visiting it offers a unique connection to art history.
