5Arachova, Mount Parnassus

Often called the “Mykonos of the Winter,” Arachova is both glamorous and traditional. Built on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, the village is known for its stone houses, red-tiled roofs, and vibrant main square.

In winter, it bustles with skiers, but its essence remains authentically Greek—loom-woven textiles, local cheeses, and strong tsipouro (a grape-based spirit) are staples here. Despite its popularity, Arachova retains the charm of a mountain settlement frozen in its old rhythms.
