4Lindos, Rhodes

While Rhodes Town attracts most visitors, Lindos feels like stepping back into ancient Greece. The village lies below an imposing acropolis and is filled with whitewashed houses, shaded courtyards, and donkey paths.

Cars are not allowed in its narrow lanes, preserving its timeless feel. Traditional mansions with pebble mosaics (known as chochlaki) tell stories of the island’s maritime past, while the rhythm of daily life remains slow and authentic.
