5Troy (2004)

Based on Homer’s “Iliad,” the epic movie “Troy” brought ancient Greek myths to the big screen with grandeur and drama. Though much of the film was shot in Malta and Mexico, key sequences were filmed in the Peloponnese, particularly in Pylos and Voidokilia Beach. 

Voidokilia’s crescent-shaped bay served as a stunning backdrop for scenes involving Greek armies preparing for battle. Its untouched beauty and historical significance made it a fitting location for a movie steeped in myth and legend.
