The Greek alphabet is the precursor to many modern writing systems. Its adoption and adaptation by the Etruscans and Romans led to the creation of the Latin alphabet, which is used in most Western languages today.

The Cyrillic alphabet, used in languages like Russian and Bulgarian, also has its roots in Greek. Greek letters like “α” (alpha), “β” (beta), and “π” (pi) are still widely recognized and employed in mathematics, science, and engineering.
