Lefkada (or Lefkas) is one of the most beautiful Greek islands, located in the Ionian sea and connected with mainland Greece by a small bridge.
Lefkada is easily accessed by car and boasts some of the most scenic beaches and wonderful natural landscapes of Greece. It is also known as the ‘Caribbean of Greece’ as it is the absolute dream destination for those who love exotic islands.

Sandy and shrine, with mesmerizing turquoise and electric blue waters, surrounded by wild nature, Lefkada island and its beaches will definitely amaze you!
The most-photographed and most popular of Lefkada beaches are Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Milos, and Kathisma. If you prefer more isolated places, though, head to Mylos beach, Kalamitsi, or Kaminia, to chill out and relax away from the tourists and the crowds.
Apart from beautiful and exotic beaches, Lefkada rewards visitors with some picturesque seaside villages, such as Nidri and Agios Nikitas, and some unique natural beauties, such as Dimosari waterfalls, delicious local foods, and delicacies, and a whole heap of exciting excursions, tours, and activities!
The Town of Lefkada is where the heart of the island beats! Stroll around its narrow streets and little alleys, sit at the traditional Greek taverns and restaurants to taste the local, Greek and international delicacies, visit the Venetian Castle, museums, and 18th-century churches and small chapels… Last but not the least, immerse yourself in the Lefkada island’s reach culture and traditions!
Since the Island is linked to Greece’s mainland with a bridge, Lefkada is more easy and convenient to reach by car or by bus. Lefkada is also linked with the other Greek islands of the Ionian Sea, Ithaki, Kefalonia, and Meganisi. The closest airport (Aktaion) to fly to is located near Preveza, a lovely town in the Epirus region.
The beaches and the seas around Lefkada are considered to be the best in the Mediterranean, because of the landscape and vividly colored waters. Lefkada’s most famous beach and attraction are Porto Katsiki.
Located at the south of the island, the views of the wild white cliffs tumbling into the sea make for a magnificent landscape and contrasts with the lush green vegetation on top of the cliffs and the turquoise and blue waters.
Even though Lefkada is famous for it’s long beaches with Ionian blue waters, the island offers lots of activities for all ages.
