January:
January is the coldest month of the year in Greece. Expect a lot of rain too. At the same time, this is a good opportunity to explore the cities on the mainland. Hotel prices also should be lower.
February:
The average temperature in February is around 14 degrees Celsius. There won’t be snow in the cities close to the sea. You can expect it in the mountains and ski resorts. The most famous are the Mount Parnassus ski area and Mount Chelmos in the Peloponnese.

be longer too and spring is on its way.

The weather in April is very unreliable. It can get windy and rainy but still, temperatures are slowly rising.

In May temperatures are significantly higher. The average temperature is around 23 degrees Celsius and we can say this is the first warmer month. However, the temperature of the water is still cold, and don’t expect to go swimming.
June:
June is the month when the summer season starts. The weather is getting hotter and the water warmer. The days are longer and the average temperature is around 29 degrees. Some days can be really hot. Lots of tourists use the beginning of the season to book accommodation at lower prices.
July:
July is the hottest month in Greece and the summer season is in full swing. The hotels and beaches are full and the water is warm. During July there is the highest risk of forest fires as the temperatures go up to 30 degrees and more.
August:
Same as July, August is a very hot month in Greece. Prices of accommodation are at their peak. On the other hand, nights are very warm and pleasant, great for nightlife and dining.
September:
September is a dry month. The weather is still warm and the number of tourists in hotels and at the beaches is slowly decreasing. If you are looking for a less crowded vacation, now is time to book accommodation.
October:
The temperatures are slowly going down with an average of 23 degrees during the day. Nights can be chilly and the temperatures drop to about 16 degrees. The weather is good for sightseeing as it’s not too hot.
November:
Days are getting colder and there are higher possibilities for rain and cloudy days.
December:
The rainy season is in the beginning and the average temperature is about 14 degrees.
