1Dodona – The Oracle of Zeus

Dodona, located in northwestern Greece, is one of the oldest oracles in the ancient world, second only to Delphi in prestige.

Pilgrims came here to consult the oracle of Zeus, whose messages were interpreted through the rustling leaves of a sacred oak tree. The site includes a large theater and ruins of temples dedicated to Zeus and Dione.
