7The Parthenon Marbles

Originally adorning the Parthenon temple in Athens, these intricate marble sculptures were created under the supervision of the renowned sculptor Phidias in the 5th century BCE.

Depicting mythological scenes and religious ceremonies, the Parthenon Marbles showcase the artistic and architectural grandeur of Classical Greece. Controversially, many of these marbles are now housed in the British Museum.
