1Kolymbithres Beach, Paros

Kolymbithres is one of Paros’ most photographed beaches, known for its sculpted granite rocks that create natural swimming pools. While it looks idyllic, it can be deceptively dangerous. The smooth granite rocks are extremely slippery, causing frequent falls and injuries.

The natural “pools” often drop off suddenly into deeper water, surprising swimmers who expect shallow conditions. In summer, the beach gets overcrowded with boats and yachts anchoring close to swimmers, increasing the risk of accidents. Though beautiful, Kolymbithres demands extra caution.
