10Hussaini Hanging Bridge, Pakistan

Nestled in northern Pakistan’s Hunza Valley, the Hussaini Hanging Bridge is often dubbed the scariest bridge in the world.

Made of thin wooden planks held together by ropes, with wide gaps in between, the bridge dangles above the Hunza River. Strong winds frequently make it sway, and remnants of a collapsed older bridge nearby add to the terror. For locals, however, it remains a practical, if risky, path between remote villages.
