9Trift Bridge, Switzerland

Suspended high above the Trift Glacier near Gadmen, Switzerland, the Trift Bridge is one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the Alps.

Stretching 170 meters (560 feet) across and hovering about 100 meters (328 feet) above the valley floor, it is a true test for anyone afraid of heights. Although reinforced with steel cables, the swaying sensation combined with the dizzying alpine views makes the crossing nerve-racking.
