Located in the Mont Blanc massif of the French Alps, the Aiguille du Midi Bridge may be short, but its setting is terrifying. Perched at an altitude of over 3,800 meters (12,600 feet), it connects parts of the Aiguille du Midi peak.

Just stepping onto it means confronting strong winds, thin air, and breathtaking—but intimidating—drops on all sides. It’s a popular stop for mountaineers, skiers, and thrill-seeking tourists taking the famous cable car up from Chamonix.
