3Vitim River Bridge, Russia

The Vitim River Bridge in Siberia is an old, narrow railway bridge converted for vehicle use—if one dares. Barely 2 meters (6 feet) wide, with rotting wooden planks and no guardrails, it stretches across the icy Vitim River.

In winter, the bridge becomes slick with ice and snow, making it nearly impossible to cross without nerves of steel. It is often cited as one of the most treacherous vehicle crossings in the world.
