Astypalea’s main village, Chora, is one of the most elegant in the Dodecanese. White houses spread across the hillside, crowned by a Venetian castle at the top.
Windmills stand along the ridge, and from almost every corner, you can see the sea stretching into the distance. The village is especially beautiful at sunset, when the light softens and the entire hillside glows.
