4Pelion Peninsula, Thessaly

The Pelion Peninsula is an underrated gem, especially outside the summer months. Its picturesque villages, such as Tsagarada, Milies, and Makrinitsa, are surrounded by lush forests and mountains.

Out of season, the local life dominates: villagers tending to farms, cafes serving fresh mountain cheese, and quiet cobbled streets. The peninsula also boasts hidden beaches along the Pagasetic Gulf and Aegean Sea that are virtually deserted in autumn and spring.
