This poignant sculpture, believed to be a Roman copy of a Greek original from the 3rd century BCE, depicts a wounded Gallic warrior in his final moments.

The intricate detailing of his pain, exhaustion, and dignity makes it one of the most emotionally powerful sculptures of antiquity. It is displayed in the Capitoline Museums in Rome.
