5Rhodes – The Ideal Starting Point

As the largest and most connected island in the Dodecanese, Rhodes is the natural gateway for island hopping. Its international airport and frequent ferry routes make it an easy entry point, while its diverse attractions reward those who linger.

Rhodes Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, complete with stone walls, cobbled streets, and the Palace of the Grand Master. Beyond the historic center, the island offers ancient ruins, traditional villages, and scenic countryside. Rhodes’ size and infrastructure make it an excellent logistical hub before heading to smaller, quieter islands.
