Connected to the mainland by a causeway, Lefkada is one of the easiest Greek islands to reach without the added cost of ferries. It boasts some of Greece’s most famous beaches, such as Porto Katsiki and Egremni.
Lefkada is affordable as there are no ferry costs due to the bridge connection. Budget accommodations are plentiful, especially outside peak season. The island also offers free or low-cost beach access with stunning scenery that rivals more expensive destinations.
