2Lindos, Rhodes, Greece

While Rhodes is a popular island, the village of Lindos still holds onto its historic soul. Whitewashed houses cluster below an ancient acropolis, and narrow paths wind through shaded courtyards filled with flowers.

There are no high-rise buildings here, and the architecture has remained largely unchanged. Many of the streets are too narrow for cars, which adds to the sense of stepping back in time.

The contrast between the brilliant white houses, the deep blue sea, and the ancient ruins above creates a setting that feels both historic and quietly magical.
