10Positano, Italy
Clinging dramatically to the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, Positano looks like it was painted into existence. Its pastel-colored houses cascade down the mountainside toward the sea, creating one of the most iconic views in the Mediterranean.
Narrow streets wind through boutiques, cafés, and bougainvillea-covered staircases, leading down to a pebbled beach lined with umbrellas. Though well known, Positano still feels like a small town at heart, especially in the early morning and evening when the day-trippers leave.
