10Seitan Limania, Crete
Tucked into a dramatic canyon on Crete’s Akrotiri Peninsula, Seitan Limania feels more like a secret carved into the landscape than a traditional beach. A narrow strip of pale sand sits between steep limestone cliffs, forming a sharp, winding inlet of electric-blue water. The descent is steep and requires careful footing, which naturally limits the crowds.
What makes this beach special is the contrast: rugged, almost wild cliffs surrounding water that looks impossibly tropical. It is a place that rewards effort, offering one of the most visually striking coastal scenes in Greece.
