10Rhodes – The Island of the Knights

Rhodes is a dream destination for history lovers. The medieval Old Town of Rhodes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe.

Built by the Knights of St. John in the 14th century, the Palace of the Grand Master, the Street of the Knights, and the city’s fortified walls transport visitors back to the era of chivalry. The island is also home to the ancient city of Kamiros and the Acropolis of Lindos, where remnants of Hellenistic and Roman rule still stand.
