8Ses Illetes, Formentera, Spain
Formentera is often described as having some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean, and Ses Illetes is its showpiece.
Located within a protected natural area in the north of the island, the beach features incredibly clear turquoise water and pale, almost powdery sand. On a sunny day, the colors can look remarkably similar to those of a Caribbean island.
The shallow seabed also creates beautiful gradients of blue, making the beach particularly photogenic.
