2Amalfi Coast, Italy

The Amalfi Coast is one of Italy’s most spectacular stretches of coastline. Mountains rise directly behind the Mediterranean, while colorful towns appear to cling to the cliffs above the water.

Positano is perhaps the most recognizable, with pastel buildings descending toward the sea. Amalfi has a beautiful historic center, while Ravello offers extraordinary views from its hilltop position.

The famous coastal road adds another dimension to the experience, winding past cliffs, lemon groves and panoramic viewpoints. Although popular, the Amalfi Coast remains one of those places that can genuinely live up to the photographs.
