One of Europe’s great medieval treasures is found on the Greek island of Rhodes. Rhodes Old Town is a vast fortified historic center enclosed by imposing medieval walls.
Its history is closely connected to the Knights of Saint John, who transformed Rhodes into an important stronghold during the Middle Ages. The spectacular Palace of the Grand Master and the famous Street of the Knights are among its most impressive sights.
