5Red Beach
Santorini’s beaches are unlike those on many other Greek islands, and Red Beach is perhaps the most distinctive. Near Akrotiri, this small bay is framed by towering red volcanic cliffs that give the beach its dramatic appearance.
The contrast between the reddish rock, dark pebbles, and blue water creates one of the island’s most memorable landscapes. It feels wild, geological, and completely different from the classic whitewashed villages above the caldera.
Many visitors come here not only for swimming but also for photography. The colors become especially striking under the bright Mediterranean sun.
