7Imerovigli
Often called the “balcony of the Aegean,” Imerovigli sits at one of the highest points along the caldera. It tends to be quieter than Oia and Fira, making it especially appealing for visitors who want dramatic scenery without the same intensity of crowds.
The village is made up of elegant white houses, luxury cave hotels, small chapels, and pathways carved into the cliff. From here, the views stretch across the volcanic islands and the shimmering sea.
Imerovigli also serves as the starting point for one of Santorini’s most rewarding walks: the path to Skaros Rock. The village feels particularly magical in the late afternoon when sunlight softens the white facades and the caldera takes on a deep blue glow.
